Opinions of Doctors and Patients on Acupuncture

The advocate and promoter of acupuncture in Poland was professor Zbigniew Garnuszewski, who pointed out that acupuncture is effective in the treatment of many diseases, it is cheap and does not require many expensive tools and helps patients without the use of pharmacological agents. Garnuszewski also praised the effectiveness of acupuncture in the fight against cigarette, alcohol and drug addiction. The professor was the president of the Polish Society of Acupuncture, he founded the Capital Center of Acupuncture.

Dr. n. med. In his book Acupuncture Treatment, Henryk Operacz emphasized the value of this technique as a therapy derived from natural medicine, free from chemical pharmacological agents. He also drew attention to the important value of acupuncture, which is stimulating the body to fight the disease and releasing its natural regenerative forces.

Doc. med. Mieczysław Szcześniewski also promoted this Chinese technique. In the book Fundamentals of acupuncture, he admitted that the therapy is extremely effective, and its use allows to reduce the amount of drugs administered to patients. The doctor emphasized that it is impossible to scientifically explain the action of all painkilling mechanisms of acupuncture, but nevertheless it cannot be ignored due to its positive effect on patients and bringing undoubted relief to the sufferer.

The World Health Organization (WHO) officially approved acupuncture, recognizing it as an effective method of alleviating the effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, treating allergies and colic; pain in the face, head, knees, back, neck, nausea and many others. Acupuncture is now used all over the world.

Acupuncture has also caught on in Poland and is on the list of Pain Treatment Clinics of the National Health Fund.

Acupuncturist Hugh MacPherson, working for the University of York, admits that there is evidence that acupuncture helps relieve chronic pain and is effective against depression.

Dr. Andrew J. Vickers of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, published a research paper in which he confirmed that there was evidence that acupuncture cured chronic pain. According to him, acupuncture not only improves well-being, but above all forces the body to heal itself. About 40 people from all over the world conducted the research.

In 2005, an article in the medical journal Annals of Internalk Medicine admitted that acupuncture was effective in treating chronic back pain, although there is no evidence that it is superior to other, more conventional treatments.

The biggest Hollywood stars and the most popular celebrities, such as Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston, Kim Kardashian, Sandra Bullock, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Penelope Cruz, Natalie Portman, Mariah Carey and Sheryl Crow, admit to using acupuncture treatments.

After a very serious car accident, I was completely paralyzed on the right side of my body. Conventional doctors said my condition would worsen and I would stop walking over time. Resigned, I had a dozen or so series of acupuncture. In the fourth series, a miracle happened, and I slowly began to feel pain where there was paralysis.
