Treatment of infertility of women and men
In the acupuncture office of prof Enji you will receive support throughout the ART / IVF cycleup to the blood test after embryo transfusion (ET). Your acupuncture specialist will carefully analyze your health history and current situation before planning an IVF treatment plan. Of course, it will be required to perform a series of acupuncture treatments on the body using very thin needles. For example, acupuncture points related to fertility are found on the lower back, lower abdomen, and legs. There are also common points on the head, neck, upper back, and arms that promote relaxation, and certain points on the ear that are used to alleviate hormonal imbalances. Typically, an acupuncture assist infertility treatment plan is combined with a Chinese herbal remedy as an adjunct.
An example treatment plan for an IVF cycle might look something like this: Initial acupuncture therapy (1-5 treatments) and Chinese herbs prescribed within 2 weeks of the onset of menstruation. Then follow up with herbs and an ongoing acupuncture series once a week including two special acupuncture treatments on Embryo Transfer Day (ET) – one before ET and the other after, both ideally within 2 hours of transfer. Treatment should continue until a blood test is confirmed after approximately 2 weeks. After a successful transfer and implantation, we will continue to support you in the relaxed atmosphere of our clinic to help you enjoy a comfortable and healthy pregnancy.
